Compression Springs

Northeast Spring offers custom compression springs for Agricultural, Heavy Industrial, Vibration Control and a variety of other applications. We can manufacture compression springs with wire diameters ranging from .105” through .500” and offer all popular grades of steel wire. We offer ground and unground ends, special cleaning and coatings and actively assist with all special requirements our customers may require.

Compression springs are open-coil helical springs that offer resistance to a compressive force applied axially. Compression springs are usually coiled as a constant-diameter cylinder.

While square, rectangular, or special section wire may be specified, round wire is used predominately in compression springs because it is readily available and adaptable to standard coiler tooling.

Spring ends can be open, open and ground, closed, or closed and ground.

Northeast Spring manufactures custom coil springs in a number of configurations for a variety of applications. We offer custom Ground and Non-Ground products to meet our customer’s individual requirements for reliable and inexpensive parts.
